My blog’s name, rootedonthevine.com was taken from this verse. I have chosen this as the life verse of my site for I know that without God, I can’t reach my God-given potential, and there is nothing I can do that would have any spiritual value if I don’t completely abide with the Father.
As Christians, we are called to fulfill our God-given purpose to advance God’s Kingdom Work. We are the salt and light of the world (Matthew 5:13; 14-16). As salt acts as a preservative in food, we are also to preserve our world from decaying into sin. And as light, we are to shine brightly in the dark so others can see the truth and walk away from the path that leads to destruction.
God’s Word is full of biblical principles that will equip every believer to fulfill his/her purpose. It starts by knowing and applying the principles laid out in His book so we can grow in knowledge and wisdom, and consequently show it in our words and actions as a beacon of light to bring about good in our circle of influence and become effective as Christ’s Ambassadors in a darkened world for the glory of our Lord Jesus.
It is my hope and prayer that through this blog, you will be able to discern and fulfill your calling and hear the Lord’s commendation, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” (Matthew 25:21)
The Bible is God’s love letter to humanity. The red ribbon inside it symbolizes his love written in red and I think Hebrews is the centerpiece of love.
