A Living Hope

Easter commemorates Jesus’ birth, death, and resurrection, which are the tenets of Christian belief. As we celebrated Easter, we honored God’s gift of salvation and his victory over sin and death. What looked like a BIG fall for the Lord was actually his GREAT VICTORY that caught the adversary off guard. The devil thought he won, but he didn’t realize God had a big plan for his downfall.

God’s plans are always greater and so mysterious that nobody can fully understand; and no man, nor power can ever hold Him down.

With God’s victory, we, too, have that same victory in Jesus Christ. We have victory over sin, and death no longer has a hold on us. Even though we die, we will be resurrected just like how God was raised from the dead.

No other religious person has ever conquered death, only God. This is a constant reminder to us that Jesus is the REAL  MESSIAH, and let us not be persuaded otherwise, no matter what the world says. Even if their voices are loud, historical fact proves it, while they don’t have the evidence to prove their claim. So let us hang on to our faith until the end.

Since our Savior is alive, we have hope. God is our Living Hope. (I Peter 1:3)

Praise to God for a Living Hope

I Peter 1:3-5
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.

When we have hope, our life takes on a new meaning. Whenever problems come our way, we don’t easily get unfazed because we have a God whom we can call on to help us with our problems. We have hope that our circumstances now are not the end because as long as we are still alive, God is not finished with us yet. (Jeremiah 29:11)

Jeremiah 29:11-13
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

THE STONE ROLLED AWAY

Looking at your situation, do you feel trapped and alone, and think that your situation will not get any better? Like a big stone has put a lid on it without a way of escape?

With our fervent hope in our Savior who rolled away the stone, this same Jesus will also roll away your stone of despair, sadness, feelings of helplessness, and replace them with joy.

Any dead bone in your life, be it in the areas of your marriage, health, finances, or whatever area that is lifeless, God is able to resurrect it and give it new life.

That is the beauty of Easter. We are not left helpless. We have a Savior and an Advocate who works alongside us.

Let this season be a time of rejoicing, not only for today, but for each day, for we have placed our hope in God, who always keeps his promises and who carries our burdens and turns them into our testament of joy.
