What does Christmas mean to you? Is it a yearly holiday with gift-giving and wonderful food on the table with friends and family? Or it is a meaningful celebration that you commemorate and are grateful for the gift that God offered to you and the entire world?
Jesus is the real reason we have Christmas. Without Him, we wouldn’t even celebrate it. Christ is the base word for Christmas. Jesus came to seek you and would like to have a relationship with you. Have you received His gift of salvation or you just know that He came, but have done nothing with the gift that God offered? So I ask again. Do you have a personal Christmas?
If not, don’t let this year end without having Christ in your life. Receiving Jesus into your life is the best gift that you could ever give to yourself and your loved ones.
To do that, I would like to give you my free EBook so you can get started on the right path.
If you are still hesitant and put Christ on the back corner of your life, what are you still holding on to?
Don’t you know that every delay that you take is a big delay in the wonderful gifts and blessings that God wants to do in your life?
I Corinthians 2:9 says, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.”
If you don’t have a personal relationship with Jesus, you can never experience I Corinthians 2:9. I’m sorry if this has discouraged you, but I think this discouragement will be your turning point on what you should do.
And for those who are Christians, what have you done in response to the free gift God gave you?
Christ lives in you. Since Jesus is light, have you shone your light to others? “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:14-16)
Is your light shining brightly for others to see?
Have you slowly assimilated to the world’s ways and standards? The world is so dark right now that even our fellow Christians have sunk deep in sin. Are you tolerating your family’s sinful ways and not called it out? Have you blended in that you have now lost your identity and people can no longer see the difference between you and an unbeliever? Have you been sitting on the sidelines and cowered down and buried your gifts to the ground?
We are not called to blend in, but to stand out.
We are also called to obey the Lord’s Great Commission. (Mark 16:15) We have a great mission field around us. People are dying in countless numbers every day. Your time to share the Gospel was yesterday. The Lord is looking for an emissary in this lost world. “Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?” Just like Isaiah, let your response be, “Here I am. Send me.” (Isaiah 6:8)
Jesus came and suffered the excruciating pain known to man just to pave the way for our salvation. Jesus had done His part. The Godhead of the Trinity have done their part.
Have you done yours?
