How To Make This Christmas Season Your Best Ever

How To Make This Christmas Season Your Best Ever

Today is Christmas Day. While you are done unwrapping your presents and enjoyed the occasion with your friends and family members, it would be worthwhile to step back and reflect on the real reason for this holiday season.

Two thousand years ago, God’s Son, Jesus Christ, came to earth as a baby to live among us. The Creator of the universe decided to make Himself known to his creation through his Only Son and to be born by a peasant girl, Mary.

Though I would no longer elaborate on the whole story since this is all too familiar, I would like to turn your attention to Jesus who suffered an excruciating pain at the cross so you can live with Him in heaven for eternity. The blood that came out of Calvary’s cross was for the forgiveness of your sins once and for all time. Through Jesus’ death and resurrection, he paved the way for salvation for everyone who would believe and accept him as his or her personal Savior.

Have You Done That?

If you haven’t, make this day the day of giving the best gift to yourself and loved ones. Open your heart and mind and accept the Lord’s sacrifice on your behalf, who paid the penalty for your sins. There is no deity that can offer real salvation other than Jesus Christ alone.

The root word of Christmas is Christ. If you don’t have Christ, your celebration is shallow and futile for Jesus is the real reason of this Christmas celebration. Don’t dwell so much on food and gifts which is only temporary.

Secure yourself first by making sure you are saved. Once you’ve done your prayer of salvation, you will immediately become God’s child (John 1:12). Your soul will finally have a complete rest and will have access to a life of good promises and abundance that is only reserved for God’s children.

Isn’t this much more than you can have on Christmas Day? I surely believe it is because this will be the start of a new birth and life for you than you can ever imagine.

As you read this, Jesus is knocking on the door of your heart. Won’t you let Him in?

Open your heart and accept Him into your whole being so you can have the best Christmas ever.
